Thrifty Thursday: Barnes and Noble Summer Reading

Most summer reading programs through the public library are finished, but one reading program is still going strong and will be until September 4th which gives your children a little less than a month to complete it.

I’m talking about the Barnes and Noble SummerReading program which was Chipette’s favorite program we worked on this summer. It was her favorite because at the end she got to turn in her form and pick out her very own book from the Barnes and Noble list.

It’s easy to enroll just print out their Reading Journal from the link above. Write down eight books that your child reads, take the form to your local Barnes and Noble, and  choose your FREE book! This was such an incentive for Chipette, and we had lots of fun reading about what the offered books were about so she could pick her perfect one. She finally decided on Half-Magic by Edward Eager.

Other offered books include:

Start reading today and pick up some good literature for free in a few weeks!

I love a good bookstore in the tree house,
